App design:
>you should add an artboard of the full design of the app logo after opening the app. (suggest to look at your sketches so far and choose one,
enlarge it and it should be your opening visual.

-what is your app's purpose, does it really help your target user group?

-would like some more features

-how do we get back matches we did not want? do we never get them back?

-add a home button for a feature

-make your app more exclusive, look back on your research, what can reach your user group's needs?

>> Unfortunately, one of my roommates tested positive before I could try my first new design, therefore I did virtual talks with my older friends who are international kids
who have lived in developing countries and moved to the Netherlands to study and work here now.

30/04/21 Intro to testing UX
Powerpoint given about the different ways to test your prototypes.

Notes:

-Why do we test? because we aren't the actual user, you can't assume you know everything therefore you need to test it out to other people, the more variables the more data.

-What you need for a test: your prototype, test plan, Users, Location, Documentation

-Test plan, what are you asking them to do/find? build up specific tasks for them to complete

-testing the design, not the user

For next class
Create your user testing plan + 1 round of testing.
1. Write down specific characters of your audience
2. Map the content in your source of knowledge – what leads to where.
3. Create at least 3 paths for your user in your source of knowledge,
each time with a different request.

Feedback

- there's a better flow than the last app
- much more activities to do with this one
-the map is a nice add-on to reflect on where they've been
-the logbook for kids is easy to locate and understand how it works
